SUBJECT: Approval of Contract #22-539-4 with William H. Alton
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Approve and authorize the Health Services Director to execute on
behalf of the County, Contract #22-539-4 with William H. Alton, for
the period from June 25, 1997 through June 30, 1998, in the amount
of $82, 137, for consultation and technical assistance with regard to
risk management and prevention programs for facilities handling
acutely hazardous materials.
II. FINANCIAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded by AB 2185 (RMPP Fees) revenues included in
the Health Services Department's Budget.
III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS/BACKGROUND:
On July 9, 1996, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #22-539-
3 with William H. Alton, for the period from June 25, 1996 to June
24 , 1997, to provide consultation and technical assistance to the
Department with regard to risk management and prevention programs
for petroleum refining and chemical manufacturing facilities
handling acutely hazardous materials.
Approval of Contract #22-539-4 will allow the Contractor to continue
providing services through June 30, 1998.
