HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 05131997 - CONVENE 0.5-13-1997 CONVENE CS MEETING OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY MAY 13, 1997 Chair Mark DeSaulnier convened the meeting of the Board of Supervisors this day at 9 : 02 a.m. in the Board Chambers, Room 107, of the County Administration Building, 651 Pine Street, Martinez, California. The Clerk called the roll, and Supervisors present were : Supervisor Gayle B. Uilkema, District II Supervisor Mark DeSaulnier, District IV Supervisor Joe Canciamilla, District V The Chair adjourned the meeting to Closed Session in Room 105 of the County Administration Building pursuant to the Closed Session Agenda attached. At 10 : 12 a.m. with all five Supervisors present, the Board reconvened in its Chambers . V.J. Westman, County Counsel, announced that in Closed Session the Board had confirmed and authorized County attorneys to. continue to defend the Fire District and public officials in the cases of John Stiglich v. Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors, et al , and John Stiglich v. Merit Board of Contra Costa County, including. the filing of motions as required. Mr. Westman advised that Supervisors Rogers, Uilkema, Gerber and DeSaulnier voted in favor of the authorization with Supervisor Canciamilla casting the dissenting l vote.
