SPECIFIC REQUESTS OR RECOMMENDATION(S)8 BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. RECOMMENDED ACTION: APPROVE an Amendment to extend the term of the Lease with
the West Contra Costa Unified School District for the premises at 1001 South 57th Street, Richmond,
for use by the Community Services Department, under the terms and conditions more particularly
set forth in said Lease Amendment, the Lease Amendment dated February 27, 1996 and the Lease
dated July 18, 1995, and AUTHORIZE the Director of General Services to EXECUTE said Lease
Amendment on behalf of the County.
II. FINANCIAL IMPACT: The payments required are to come from the budget of the Community
Services Department.
III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONSBACIKGROUND: This lease will provide space for
continued use by the Head Start and Child Development Programs as requested by the Community
Services Department.
