HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06041996 - C8 THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Order on June 4, 1996 by the following vote: C AYES: Supervisors Rogers, Bishop, DeSaulnier, Torlakson, Smith NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None SUBJECT: Authorizing the Public Works Director to Arrange for Completion of Improvements specific to the warranty period deficiency, Subdivision 7152, Bay Point area. The Board on May 8, 1990, having approved a Subdivision Agreement with West Pittsburg Seabreeze L.P. for construction of certain improvements and on April 19, 1994, having accepted the improvements as complete and placing them on a warranty period. The Public Works Director having reported that the developer has failed to satisfactorily complete the improvements that failed during the one year warranty period as required by said agreement. The Public Works Director having recommended that he be authorized to arrange for completing the warranty work (estimated to be $3,000, plus the cost of preparing plans and specifications, solicitation of bids, administering the contract) and that the developers failure to complete this warranty work contributed to the landslide, which required the removal of six homes. The Public Works Director further recommends that he be authorized to use the entire $13,716 cash deposit (Auditor's Deposit Permit No. 172280, dated April 23, 1990) made by West Pittsburg Seabreeze L.P. to help defray the County's cost. IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the recommendations of the Public Works Director are APPROVED.
