Your support on passage of SB 2579, is hereby solicited. Please contact your State Senator and request his support when SB 2579 comes before the full Senate. The citizens of Yuba County have made it very clear they do not want Juice Bars with nude dancing in the communities of the County. AB 2579 provides local regulation of the type of entertainment to be allowed in business establishments. Recently individuals came to our county and converted a youth oriented Railroad Arcade to a juice bar with nude dancing. The courts have ruled a local county ordinance, adopted in an attempt to regulate such an activity through land use zoning, to be unconstitutional. This could happen in your county. Ab 2579 will go a long way in regulating nude dancing consistent with the United States and California Constitutions. Passage of AB 2579 will strengthen the right of citizens to decide the moral standards of entertainment allowed in communities throughout the State. Respectfully, Al Amaro Supervisor, First District _ r CT2579AA COURTHOUSE•THIRD FLOOR•215 FIFTH STREET-MARYSVILLE,CALIFORNIA 95901
