The experience has been an enjoyable one. I have learned about the political process as well as the various problems that plague the youth outside of my immediate area. Unfortunately I am writing this letter as a resignation. Although my experience in CYC has been positive I have become bogged down with college preparation and many other things. I am unable to devote adequate time to the commission. I feel that the commission deserves a member who has the necessary time available. Thus, I offer my resignation. Please give my warmest thanks to Supervisor De Saulnier and all others involved in the creation and supervision of the County wide Youth Commission. As you will also see by the attached attendance sheet, Ryan Klobas has not been very active this year due to his school commitments, but he has maintained contact with me and says he still wants to be involved, which I will encourage. However, he is starting college in the fall and may only be able to give his time over the summer so you might want to be prepared for his resignation too. CYC is very eager to have some new and energetic young people to represent West County, and I will do what I can to help get the word out. We have a very exciting project this year--Youth VOTE '96. 1 have attached an information sheet about it to help you with your advertising for the vacancies. Thank you for processing the paperwork to declare the vacancies. I hope we can get some new District 1 Commissioners as soon as possible since West County has gone so long without representation.
