RCS/CCCCSD96.BOS BY , DEPUTY BACKGROUND AND REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION: CONT' D The 5C' s Program is a community volunteer program located in the Bay Point community and operated by the Community Services Department. The 5C' s Program serves as a grass roots volunteer program designed to assist the Bay Point community in identifying services and resources to solve community problems . Examples of program activities include job awareness/development, senior volunteer services, neighborhood/crime watch programs, community clean-ups and graffiti abatement. Due to past unforeseen program and contract difficulties, the Community Services Department has not claimed program expenses for fiscal years 93/94 and 94/95. In order to reimburse the Department for previous fiscal year expenses authorization to execute an Interdepartmental Services Agreement is recommended which will combine the prior year carry forwards ($30, 000) with the current allocation of $13, 000 . 00 . Any remaining balance from the current fiscal year will be carried forward to 96/97 for use by the Program.
