Date: May 7, 1996 MATTER OF RECORD
The Board adjourned at 1 p.m. this day to the joint workshop meeting with the Private
Industry Council at the Contra Costa Community College District, 6`"floor Board Room, 500
Court Street, Martinez, California.
Discussion focussed on the role of the Private Industry Council, on the proposed new
federal program that would replace or amend programs under the Job Training Partnership Act
(DTPA), and on the need to plan for its implementation in Contra Costa County.
Since the Board Agenda did not provide adequate notice for the Board to take action,
staff was instructed to agenda the issues for Board action at the next Board meeting.
The Board then adjourned at 2:15 p.m. to reconvene in the Board Chambers and continue
with the afternoon portion of the Agenda.
