MICHAEL WALFORD, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR DATE: MAY 21, 1996 SUBJECT: BUCHANAN FIELD AIRPORT - SOLANO WAY PARTNERSHIP - FIRST AMENDMENT TO LEASE SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION I. Recommended Action: APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director to EXECUTE, on behalf of the County, a First Amendment to Lease with Solano Way Partnership, under the terms and conditions more particularly set forth in said Lease Agreement. II. Financial Impact: Base Rent in the amount of$9,420.00 per month will be deposited in the Airport Enterprise Fund. The Lease Amendment also provides for an increased percentage rent. III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background: The County's lease provides for a revaluation of rent at the end of the first ten (10) year period and each five (5) year period thereafter. A base rent of$9,420.00 per month and an increased percentage rent has been negotiated with the Lessee. Approval of the First Amendment to Lease provides for the payment of this revalued rent. IV. Consequences of Negative Action: If this Amendment is not approved, it would cause a a- AA nue in the Airport Enterprise Fund of approximately $11,280 annually.
