Dear Board Members:
I am submitting to you a petition signed by close to 100 percent of the employees in the Head
Start, GOP east, and including other members of Local One, in regards to not having another
delegate agency take over the County Head Start in the east.
These employees have had a very trying experience with a prior delegate agency which I am sure
the Board of Supervisors is aware, and they very much want to have a stable employment
situation in Head Start, and they believe they can only do so when the program is run by the
County.
I am enclosing a copy of the petition to each Board Member.
Sincerely,
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION, LOCAL ONE
