DIRECT the Health Services Director to provide clerical staffing for the Homeless Advisory Committee at a level of not to exceed 12 hours per month. 2. REQUEST the Health Services Director to provide at least interim clerical staffing to the Homeless Advisory Committee at its next meeting on April 3, 1996 if at all possible. I 3. REQUEST the Health Services Director to consider contracting for clerical support for the Homeless Advisory Committee with Connie DeRamo, who previously provided these services to the Committee when it was staffed out of the Community Services Department. BACKGROUND: The Homeless Advisory Committee has complained for some time that it is unable to function properly without even minimal clerical staffing. Our Committee met with the Chair of the Homeless Advisory Committee on March 25, 1996, at which time this request was reiterated again. Our Committee wants the Homeless Advisory Committee to be successful and recognizes that the Committee is unable to be successful without someone to take notes at Committee meetings, type up the minutes, mail them to the members and maintain minimal files for the Committee. We are, therefore, asking that the full Board of Supervisors join us in adopting the above recommendations. -2- P Request to S eak Form ( THREE (3) MINUTE LIMIT Complete this form and place it In the box near the speakers' rostrum before addressing the Board.
