SUBJECT: ONE YEAR LEASE RENEWAL,BAYO VISTA RESIDENT COUNCIL
SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. RECOMMENDED ACTION:
APPROVE one year lease renewal for the Bayo Vista Resident Council and AUTHORIZE
the Executive Director of the Housing Authority of the County of Contra Costa to enter into a one year
Lease Renewal with the Bayo Vista Resident Council for use of unit#680 at#2 California Street, Rodeo, as
stated in the attached Lease Renewal.
II. FINANCIAL IMPACT: None.
III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND
The unit located at#2 California Street,unit#680,Rodeo is used by the El Pueblo Resident Council to
conduct meetings,promote senior citizens programs,community meetings, and other community held functions
deemed to be in the best interest of the Bayo Vista development and community at large. This space is also used for
lunch programs and special youth programs. This lease has been in effect since May, 1993.
IV. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
Should the Board of Commissioners elect to not authorize the Executive Director to enter into a one
year Lease Renewal with the Bayo Vista Resident Council,the on-going programs developed by the Bayo
Vista Resident Council would no longer function and this would be a detriment to the development, as well
as the community.

RENEWAL OF LEASE
THIS SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT made and entered into this 1st day
of APRIL, 1996, by and between the HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY
OF CONTRA COSTA, hereinafter referred to as the "Authority', and
BAYO VISTA TENANT COUNCIL, CORPORATION, hereinafter to be referred
to as the "Agency":
WITNESSETH;
WHEREAS, by lease agreement between the parties hereto, dated
MAY 1, 1993, the Authority leased to Agency the right and privilege of occupying
space in the BAYO VISTA HOUSING DEVELOPMENT, #2 CALIFORNIA
STREET, RODEO, CALIFORNIA, UNIT #680, of the Authority; and
WHEREAS, the Agency desires and the Authority is willing that such
lease be renewed for the term of one (1) year.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Authority for and in consideration of the
promises and covenants in the aforesaid lease, and other valuable consideration,
the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, hereby agrees that said lease shall
be, and it hereby is, renewed beginning MAY 1, 1996 through APRIL 30, 1997.
The Agency hereby covenants and agrees that during the course of the
renewal period the Agency shall perform and be bound by all of the covenants
and conditions contained in said lease agreement of MAY 1, 1993.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties have set their hands the day and
year first hereinabove set forth.
