THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA Adopted this Resolution on April 23, 1996, by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Rogers, Bishop, Torlakson, Smith NOES: None ABSENT: Supervisor DeSaulnier RESOLUTION NO. 96/ 174 (Government Code § 25350) SUBJECT: Consummate Purchase and Accept Grant Deeds 1114 Court Street, 920 Mellus Street Martinez Area Project No. 4405-4197 (W.O. 5068) CP96-12 APN 374-071-006, 007 The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County, RESOLVES THAT: This Board on March 26, 1996, passed Resolution of Intention No. 96/120 and Notice fixing April 23, 1996, at 9:45 a.m. in its Chambers, County Administration Building, 651 Pine Street, Martinez, California, as the time and place where it would meet to consummate the purchase of the real property described therein from James E. Cox, et al, said property being required for County Civic Center purposes. Said Resolution was duly published in the Contra Costa Times in compliance with Govt. Code Section 6063. The Board hereby consummates said purchase and approves the Purchase Agreement dated April 23, 1996, between James E. Cox, et al, and the County for real property located at 1114 Court Street and 920 Mellus Street, Martinez, California, and authorizes the Public Works Director to sign the Purchase Agreement on behalf of the County. The County Auditor-Controller is hereby DIRECTED to issue a check in favor of Chicago Title Company, 590 Ygnacio Valley Road, Suite 300, Walnut Creek, CA., 94596, Escrow No. 77292, for $501,000 for said property for payment to Grantors, upon their conveying to the County the deeds therefor.
