DIRECT the Public Works Director to arrange for payment of the $25.00 handling fee to the County Clerk for filing of the Notice of Exemption. II. FINANCIAL IMPACT: The estimated project cost is $205,000, funded by Transportation Development Act $35,000 (17%), Road Funds $20,000 (10%), and Assembly Bill 434 $150,00 (73%). REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND: The project includes widening and restriping approximately 2,000 feet of El Portal Drive. It is needed to facilitate bicycle traffic on El Portal Drive. The project has been determined to be in compliance with the General Plan and is exempt from CEQA because this is a minor public alteration in the condition of land. IV. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Delay in approving the project will.result in a delay of design and construction and may jeopardize funding.
