SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. Recommended Action:
APPROVE prior issuance of Addendum No. 1 for the Delta Road Bike Lanes and "A' Street
Sidewalk Project.
II. Financial Impact:
This Addendum will not affect the project cost.
III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
On March 26, 1996, the Board of Supervisors approved plans.and specifications for this project.
This addendum is needed to add the Federal Minimum Wages and the Federal Labor Standards
Provisions as required by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, and
to clarify minor discrepancies among the Contract documents.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
If this Addendum is not approved the project funding could be jeopardized and the project may
not be constructed. I

The Proposal and Contract is amended as follows:
The attached"Federal Minimum Wages and Federal Labor Standard Provisions" shall be
considered as part of the Proposal and Contract.
The Notice to Contractors and Special Provisions, Proposal and Contract, and Contract Plans
are amended as follows:
In the Notice to Contractors and Special Provisions, Proposal and Contract, and Contract
Plans any reference to Asphalt Concrete(Type A), Asphalt Concrete (Type A- 1/2" Maximum),
or Asphalt Concrete (Type A, 1/2" Maximum Grading) and any other reference to Asphalt
Concrete shall be considered as Asphalt Concrete (Type B, 1/2" Maximum, Medium Grading).
Bidder must acknowledge receipt of this Addendum. Acknowledgment must be shown in the space
provided below and returned with the Bid Proposal prior to the date and hour set for the opening of
bids, 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 1996.
