In the Matter Honoring Lois Ellison Resolution No. 961129
For Her Leadership and Dedication
As Personnel Officer for the Health
Services Department
WHEREAS, LOIS ELLISON has served with distinction as an employee of the
Personnel and Health Services Departments ascending to a position of leadership as
the Health Services Personnel Officer; and,
WHEREAS, LOIS ELLISON has guided the personnel and employee relations
functions of the Health Services Department through a demanding period of fiscal
challenge and organizational change; and,
WHEREAS, LOIS ELLISON has gained the well deserved respect, trust and
admiration of employees, managers and union representatives with whom she has
worked; and,
WHEREAS, LOIS ELLISON exhibited true devotion to the ideal of public service
and functioned as a role model for her peers and subordinates; and,
WHEREAS, LOIS ELLISON has had the constant support and understanding of
her husband, Bud, and children, Colin, Erin and Nicole:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of Contra
Costa County does honor and recognize
LOIS ELLISON
for seventeenyears of outstanding and dedicated service to Contra Costa
County.
PASSED by the vote of the Board members present on this 16th day of April, 1996.
