The Community Development Department requested an effective date of April 1, 1996. This date was selected, thinking .that subject employee would not be eligible for promotion until that date. Prior to Board action, the Human Resources Department discovered that employee would be eligible for promotion on March 1, 1996 and I agreed to that effective date. Unfortunately that agreement was not communicated to staff, who processed the P300 with the asked for date. ` Please correct subject P300 to reflect an effective date of March 1, 1996.
