The Ad-Hoc Committee was to be comprised of two members each from the Hazardous Materials Commission, the County Planning Commission, and the Public and Environmental Health Advisory Board. In addition, the Building Industry Association and the Industrial Associations were to have one representative each. The membership listed above meets these criteria. Staff has held several interdepartmental meetings to focus the issues in preparation of the Ad-Hoc Committee' s formation. The first meeting of the Ad-Hoc Committee has been set for June 28th. With the Committee ' s concurrence, we expect the public workshops to be scheduled during the month of July. When the schedule is set, the Board will be notified, and the Board meetings will be adjourned to these workshops in the event Board members wish to attend. The Committee' s meeting agenda will include the following: ■ Overview of County Planning Process; ■ Overview of Health Department Hazardous Materials Information (e.g. off-site consequence analysis) ; ■ Discussion of Interface Areas (e.g. description of areas, Redevelopment Planning) ; and ■ Public Workshop Planning. We expect that the public workshops will include similar information. The three regional public workshops will be held in areas where industry and residences are within close proximity (e.g. Rodeo, Martinez, and Bay Point) .
