RECOMMENDED ACTION: ADOPT Resolution No. 3750 approving the Risk Management Policy Statement of the Housing Authority of the County of Contra Costa and AUTHORIZE execution of the statement by the Executive Director of the Housing Authority. 11. FINANCIAL IMPACT: The Housing Authority could forfeit a premium credit from its excess liability insurance carrier,Housing Authority Risk Retention Group(HARRG),without this Risk Management Policy Statement. III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONBACKGROUND Housing Authority Risk Retention Group(HARRG),the Housing Authority's excess liability insurance carrier requires a Risk Control Work Plan each year. The HARRG premium credit is based on submission of documents supporting the implementation of risk control standards. For the 1995/96 insurance year, the Housing Authority of the County of Contra Costa received a premium credit of$5,695.00. As a part of the Risk Control Work Plan for 1996/97,HARRG is requiring that the Board adopt a resolution establishing risk management as an operational priority. The attached Risk Management Policy Statement fulfills that requirement. IV. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION; Should the Board of Commissioners elect to not adopt Resolution No.3750,the Housing Authority could be denied a premium credit by HARRG for the 1996/97 insurance year. l - CONTINUED ON ATTACHMENT: YES SIGNATURE P h►, RECOMMENDATION OF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR RECOMMENDATION OF BOARD COMMITTEE APPROVE OTHER SIGNATURE(S) : ACTION OF BOARD ON APPROVED AS RECOMMENDED OTHER VOTE OF COMMISSIONERS I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THIS IS A UNANIMOUS (ABSENT 1 TRUE AND CORRECT COPY OF AN AYES: NOES: ACTION TAKEN AND ENTERED ON THE ABSENT: ABSTAIN: MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ON THE DATE SHOWN.
