SUBJECT: Intention to Purchase Real Property for
Contra Costa County Child Development Programs.
The Ruth C. Powers Child Care Center, 2730 Maine Avenue,
and the Maritime Child Care Center, 1014 Florida Avenue,
both in Richmond, California.
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO PURCHASE REAL PROPERTY
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
It intends to purchase from the West Contra Costa Unified School District for County
Child Development Programs, the real property described in Exhibits "A" and "B" attached
hereto, for $309,000.00, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Real Estate
Purchase And Sale Agreement between the County of Contra Costa and the West Contra
Costa Unified School District (WCCUSD), and approved by the WCCUSD on June 7,
1995, which is a fair and reasonable price therefor. A copy of said agreement is on file in
the General Services Department.
It has been determined that this activity is not subject to the California Environmen-
tal Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Article 5, Section 15061(b) 3 of the CEQA Guidelines.
This Board will meet on July 25, 1995, at 9:45 a.m. in the Board's Chambers,
County Administration Building, Martinez, California, to consummate this purchase and the
Clerk of this Board is DIRECTED to publish the following notice in the West County Times
pursuant to Government Code Section 6063.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO PURCHASE REAL PROPERTY
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County declares its intention to purchase
from the West Contra Costa Unified School District, at a price of$309,000.00, the former
Pullman Child Care Center site, now known as the Ruth C. Powers Child Care Center and
the Maritime Child Care Center with buildings containing approximately 35,754 square feet
of floor space on approximately 2.62 acres of land located at 2730 Maine Avenue and
1014 Florida Avenue, both in Richmond, California and more particularly described in
Resolution No. 95/ 271 of the Board, and will meet at 9:45 a.m. on July 25, 1995,
in its Chambers, County Administration Building, 651 Pine Street, Martinez, California, to
consummate the purchase.
