SUBJECT: DISSOLUTION, COMBINATION AND TRANSFER OF ASSETS OF LANDSCAPE
ZONES WITHIN COUNTYWIDE LANDSCAPE DISTRICT AD 1979-3 (LL-2)

I. Recommended Action:
AUTHORIZE the dissolution, combination, and transfer of assets of the following zones within
Countywide Landscape District AD 1979-3 (LL-2):

II. Financial lmpact:
The combining of the above zones and the continuation of assessments for Fiscal Year 1995-1996
will continue to raise funds to be used solely on maintenance and improvements in the zones and
will have no General Fund impact.
III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
The proposed dissolution of Landscape District Zones 15, 43, 41 and 50 and the combining of
these zones into Zones 8, 24, 46 and 27, respectively, will provide the mechanism for accurate
accounting of maintenance costs as they relate to the services provided in the individual zone.
Each zone that is being transferred is contiguous with the zone that it is being annexed to and, in
some cases, shares the same irrigation system.

This action will not result in an increase in the assessment for the parcels affected and, in some
cases, may result in a lower assessment. The proposed transfers and combinations will be
effective for the 1995-1996 Fiscal Year.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
The funds in the eight individual zones may not be accurately accounted in relation to maintenance
actually performed.
