ACCEPT the resignation of The Rev. Curtis A. Timmons from seat #3 on the Human Relations Commission, DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to apply the Board' s policy for filling the vacancy, and REFER the vacancy to the Internal Operations Committee. 2 . AUTHORIZE the Internal Operations Committee to undertake such recruitment, screening and interviewing as it deems necessary and appropriate and make a subsequent recommendation to the Board of Supervisors for an appointment to fill this vacancy. BACKGROUND: Attached is a letter from The Rev. Timmons resigning from the Human Relations Commission on the recommendation of his physician. In view of his resignation,• it is appropriate for the Board to accept The Rev. Timmons ' resignation and allow the Internal Operations Committee to take, those steps which are necessary and appropriate to fill the vacancy. ESTABLISHED: September 16, 1986 by Ordinance No. 86-84; membership expanded. April 5, 1988 by Ordinance No. 88-31. Membership decreased to twelve by Ordinance 93-35 adopted 6-15-93.
