RECOMMENDED ACTION APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Community Services Director or her designee to execute an amendment to FY 1994-95 Contract #IV0424 with the State Department of Education, increasing the amount of reimbursement by $8,518 for a new total of $549,622 . II . FINANCIAL IMPACT The additional $8,518 will be added to the department's 1994-95 Child Development budget. There is no impact on the County's General Fund. III . CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION Four hundred three days of child care services would be lost to families in Contra Costa County. IV. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDED ACTION The California Department of Education is proposing to amend Contract #IV0424 to comply with AB 3781 (Brulte) , effective January 1, 1995, changing contract reimbursement rates for subsidized infant care. This amendment will add 403 days of child care. Because available funding is sufficient to match the amount needed to maintain current service levels for all agencies that responded, we are pleased to inform you that based on the information you submitted you will receive an amendment to your contract(s) for FY 1994/95 reflecting the following increase: Contract# Increase Amount IV0424 $8,518 The increase amended into your contract for this fiscal year (1994/95) is for six months. You will receive additional funding for the full year for FY 1995/96.
