MICHAEL WALFORD, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR DATE: May 16, 1995 SUBJECT: Approve Plans and Specifications and Advertise for bids for the Camino Tassajara Realignment at Finley Road Project in the Danville/San Ramon area. Project No. 0662-6R4163-90, CP # 94 - 72. Specific Request(s) or Recommendation(s) & Background & Justification I. RECOMMENDED ACTION: APPROVE the Plans and Specifications for the Project and ADVERTISE for bids to be received on Thursday, June 15, 1995, at 2:00 p.m. DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to publish the Notice to Contractors in accordance with Section 20392 of the Public Contract Code. II. FINANCIAL IMPACT: The estimated contract cost of the project is $620,000, funded by Developer Fees (56%), Tassajara Area of Benefit (34%) SB300 (10%). III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND: The project is needed to improve roadway geometrics. The Public Works Director has filed with the Board of Supervisors the Plans and Specifications for the project. The Board reviewed and approved the project on December 20, 1994, and approved the addendum to the Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR) for Subdivision 5736 to include the acquisition of a portion of APN 206-030-017 to provide for right of way for this project. The FEIR pertaining to this project was originally included in Subdivision 5736. IV. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If the project is not approved for advertising, it will not be constructed .
