HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 04041995 - 1.18 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter Proclaiming ) April 8, 1995 Earth Day In the ) Richmond and North ) Resolution No. 95/143 Richmond Communities ) WHEREAS, in an effort to educate the Richmond and North Richmond communities about all the hazards in their neighborhoods including health issues, unemployment, violence as well as other environmental risk factors; and WHEREAS, this will be the first time Earth Day has been officially celebrated in the City of Richmond's 90 year history, although this is the 25th anniversary of Earth Day: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County proclaims April 8, 1995 as Earth Day in Richmond and North Richmond and encourages citizens to join in a free celebration commemorating Earth Day through food music, and dance at the Shields-Reed Community Center, 1410 Kelsey Street, (North) Richmond. Introduced by Passed and adopted by unanimous votes of those Jim Rogers, Supervisors present on April 04, 1995.
