Chu 1095 Bancroft Court Walnut Creek, CA 94598 BACKGROUND: The Advisory Housing Commission consists of seven members . Five are at-large seats which have four year terms of office. The other two are to be tenants of the Housing Authority. One of the two tenants must be over 62 years of age. The tenant seats serve two years terms of office. The terms of three of the at-large seats expired March 31, 1995 . All three individuals wish to be reappointed. Attached are the individual ' s attendance records . The Internal Operations Committee has agreed to the reappointments without interview. It is, therefore, recommended that the three incumbents be reappointed for new four year terms . On March 31, 1995 three of the at-large positions will expire. The three Commissioners serving on the Advisory Housing Commission, whose terms will expire on March 31, 1995, are: 1. Mrs. Alice Latimer 4238 Heights Avenue Pittsburg, CA 94565 Mrs. Latimer was originally appointed on March 16, 192. She was re-appointed, for the third time, on April 2, 1991. 2. Mr. Bernie R. Bautista 1303 Center Avenue Martinez, CA 94553 Mr. Bautista was appointed on October 30, 1990 for the balance of an unexpired term. He was re-appointed for a full four year term on April 2, 1991. 3. Mr. Ming-Yau M. Chu 1095 Bancroft Court _ Walnut Creek, CA 94598 Mr. Chu was appointed on December 14, 1993 for the balance of an unexpired term. Attached are copies of the attendance records for Mrs. Latimer, Mr. Bautista and Mr. Chu covering their entire terms of office. It has been the position of the Advisory Housing Commission that they not make recommendations regarding appointments to the Commission. Applicants must be interested in providing low-cost housing and should be suitably qualified and experienced for such responsibilities. ESTABLISHED: November 24, 1981, by Housing Authority of the County of Contra Costa (Ordinance No. 3359) . APPOINTED BY: Board of Commissioners of. the Housing Authority of the County of Contra Costa. TERM: Four years, by Board Order dated April 17, 1984; two years for tenant representatives. FUNCTIONS: To review and make recommendations on all matters to come before the Authority prior to Authority action, except emergency matters and matters which the Board of Commissioners by resolution excludes from its review. REPORTS TO: Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority. MEETING TIME':-- Third Monday of each month at 6:00 PM, Housing Authority office. COMPENSATION: $50 per meeting, not to exceed 4 meetings per month.
