HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 03281995 - S.5 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Declaring ) April 1995 as CHILD ABUSE ) RESOLUTION NO. 951130 PREVENTION MONTH in Contra ) Costa County ) Contra Costa County recognizes that its children are its most important resource, and that they will shape and fu fill the County's future. The alarmingly rising numbers of reported cases of child abuse are consequently cause for great concern and heighten the need for increased protection and improved services for abused and neglected children. The county realizes that this concern requires the joint efforts of medical, educational, social, and criminal justice agencies, as well as active participation by alert and informed citizens. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors declares April 1995 as CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH in Contra Costa County, and that all citizens dedicate themselves to the continuing need to combat abuse at every level. PASSED AND ADOPTED ON March 28, 1995, by a unanimous vote of the Board members present.
