Contra TO: REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY Costa FROM: Phil Batchelor r �a�J County Executive Director DATE: March 28, 1995 SUBJECT: Oakley Redevelopment Area-Participate in funding a Traffic Signal at State Route 4 and Malicoat Avenue SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATIONS(S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATIONS APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Deputy Director - Redevelopment to sign a contract between the Redevelopment Agency and Contra Costa County for partial funding of a traffic signal at the intersection of State Route 4 and Malicoat Avenue. FISCAL RvIPACT No General Fund monies are involved. The Agency's adopted budget for FY1994-95 for the Oakley Redevelopment Project Area contemplates that $50,000 will be allocated towards the project. BACKGROUND/REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS Subdivision 7689 was approved by the Board of Supervisors on January 24, 1995. As part of the Conditions of Approval associated with Sub 7689, it was determined that the applicant, the Redevelopment Agency,the County, through its Area of Benefit (AOB) program, would share..the cost of installing a new traffic signal at the intersection of Malicoat Avenue and State Route 4.
