SUBJECT: Approval of Contract Change Order #6 for the Ygnacio Valley Rd. Overlay Project,
Project No. 0662-6R4221-92, Concord area.
Specific Requests or Recommendation(s)&Background&Justification
I. Recommended Action:
Approve Contract Change Order No. 6 in the approximate amount of$1,200.00 and AUTHORIZE
the Public Works Director to execute it in order to compensate the contractor, Oliver de Silva, Inc.,
for work performed.
II. Financial Impact:
The project contingency funds are sufficient to cover the change order cost. The project is funded
by Measure "C" Funds (95%) and the City of Concord (5%).
III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
The cumulative total of Contract Change Orders Nos. 1 through 6 exceeds $25,000.00, requiring
Board approval.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
Without approval the contractor will not receive payment for the work required.
