The terms of the two tenant positions expired March 31, 1994 . The incumbents are Julie Medina of Concord and Edith Voorhies of Antioch. Both women have indicated that they wish to be reappointed. Our Committee interviewed both Ms . Medina and Ms . Voorhies on June 27, 1994 . Both women are knowledgeable about the Housing Authority and its programs and both are enthusiastic about their work on the Commission. We have also reviewed the attendance record for both women since they have been on the Commission. Both women' s attendance records have been outstanding. It is our pleasure to recommend the reappointment of both Ms . Julie Medina and Ms . Edith Voorhies . Martinez, Executive Director Subject: REAPPOINTMENTS TO ADVISORY HOUSING COMMISSION The Advisory Housing Commission has two members whose terms of office expire on March 31, 1994. -These two members are: 1. Edith Voorhies 2100 Buchanan Road, C-506 Antioch, CA 94509 Mrs. Voorhies is a tenant representative over 62 years of age. She was originally appointed on April 18, 1989. She was reappointed on April 17, 1990 and again on April 7, 1992. Mrs. Voorhies has served 2-1/2 terms. Mrs. Voorhies is eligible to serve a two year term and requests, that she be reappointed. Mrs. Voorhies has been a valuable member of the Advisory Housing Commission and I recommend that she be reappointed to a two year term expiring on March 31, 1996. 2. Julie Medina 3299 Tioga Road, #101 Concord, Ca 94518 Mrs, Medina is a tenant representative who receives Section 8 Rental Assistance. She was originally appointed on July 23, 1991 to complete the unexpired term of a member who resigned and was reappointed on April 7, 1992. Mrs. Medina has served 1-1/2 terms. Mrs. Medina is eligible to serve a two year term, and requests that she be reappointed. Mrs. Medina has been a valuable member of the Advisory Housing Commission and I recommend that she be reappointed to a two year term expiring on March 31, 1996. Attached are copies of the attendance records for Mrs. Medina and Mrs. covering their entire terms of office. It has been the position of the Advisory Housing Commission that they not make recommendations regarding appointments to the Commission..
