Before the Board of Directors of the Ambrose Recreation and
Park District (a political subdivision) Contra Costa County,
California
RESOLUTION
RESOLUTION REQUESTING CONSOLIDATION /
WHEREAS, an election will be held within the Ambrose
Recreation and Park District on November 8, 1994 for the purpose of
election of three (3) members to the District Board of Directors;
and
WHEREAS, a Statewide General Election will be held within the
County of Contra Costa on the same day;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Ambrose Recreation and
Park District hereby requests that the General District Election in
this District on November 8, 1994 for the election of three (3)
members to the District Board of Directors be consolidated with the
Statewide General Election to be held in this county on the same
day.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of Contra
Costa County is. hereby authorized and instructed to canvass the
returns of the election held in this District for the election of
members to the District Board of Directors and that a Statement of
Results be mailed to this District as soon as the results of the
canvass are determined.

Pursuant to the provisions of the Public Utilities Code, the Board
of Directors of the Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District has
called a General District Election to be held on Tuesday, November
8, 1994, for the purpose of electing one (1) director and requested
the consolidation of this election with the General State Election
to be held on the same day.
Two certified copies of Resolution No. 865 adopted by the Board of
Directors on Wednesday, April 13, 1994, covering this matter are
enclosed for your attention.

A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE A AME A-CONTRA COSTA
TRANSIT DISTRICT CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE HOLDING OF A
SPECIAL AND GENERAL DISTRICT ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY,
NOVEMBER 8, 1994, FOR THE ELECTION OF FIVE DIRECTORS AND REQUESTING
CONSOLIDATION OF SAID ELECTION WITH THE GENERAL STATE ELECTION TO
BE HELD ON THE SANE DATE
WHEREAS, a special election must be held in Ward II to fill
the remaining term of the former Director;
WHEREAS, under the provisions of the Public Utilities Code of
the State of California, A General District Election shall be held
on Tuesday, November 8, 1994, for the election of Members of the
Board of Directors of the District;
WHEREAS, it is desirable that the Special and General District
Elections be consolidated with the General State Election to also
be held on November 8, 1994; and
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF AIAMEDA-CONTRA COSTA
TRANSIT DISTRICT RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to the requirements of the Government
Code of the State of California, there is called and ordered to be
held in the territory of the District within the county of Alameda,
on Tuesday, November 8, 1994, a Special District Election for the
purpose of electing one (1) member of the Board of Directors to
fill a vacancy created by resignation, to hold office for the
remaining two years of the unexpired term of the previous occupant.
SECTION 2. Pursuant to the requirements of the Public
Utilities Code of the State of California, there is called and
ordered to be held in the territory of the District within the
counties of Alameda and Contra Costa, on Tuesday, November 8, 1994,
a General District Election for the purpose of electing four (4)
Members of the Board of Directors for the full term of four years.
SECTION 3. The five (5) members of the Board of Directors to
be nominated and elected at said election shall include one
Director from each of Ward Nos. II, III, IV, and V, and one
Director at Large. The person elected from Ward II will be elected
by Special Election to fill a vacancy and will serve for two years
until the General Election in November, 1996. Ward Directors shall
be nominated and elected from their respective Wards as established
by Resolution No. 802 adopted by the Board of Directors on June 24,
1992. Candidates for the office of Director at Large shall be
voted on at large in that every qualified voter in the District may
vote for one candidate to be elected Director at Large.

Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately
upon its adoption by four affirmative votes of the Board of
Directors.

A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE ALAMEDA-CONTRA COSTA TRANSIT DISTRICT
FIXING AND ESTABLISHING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE WARDS OF
ALAMEDA-CONTRA COSTA TRANSIT DISTRICT FOR THE
PURPOSE OF ELECTING DIRECTORS THEREFORE AND
REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 795
WHEREAS, Section 24823 of the Transit District Law, State of California,
provides that the Board of Directors shall fix the boundaries of the Wards of the District
for the purpose of electing Directors therefrom; and
WHEREAS, the laws of the United States and the State of California, and
court decisions relating thereto, require that Wards shall be as nearly equal in population
as practicable and established certain other requirements for redistricting; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has adopted Resolution No. 780,
establishing procedures for fixing the boundaries of the wards of the Alameda-Contra
Costa Transit District, has complied with those procedures, has reviewed alternative
redistricting plans, and has considered all written and oral testimony; and
WHEREAS,the last Federal decennial census of 1990 and the census tracts
established by the United States Bureau of the Census provide the most recent
population figures available for compliance with law, and further provide the most
appropriate boundaries for the purposes of equalizing the population in each respective
Ward;
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors, on April 20, 1992, adopted Resolution
No. 795 reestablishing District Ward boundaries for District elections; and
WHEREAS, following review of Resolution No. 795 it has been determined
appropriate to amend said Resolution to provide technical modifications to the listing of
census tracts.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE ALAMEDA
COUNTY TRANSIT DISTRICT RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 24823 of the Transit District Law, State
of California, the Board of Directors does hereby fix and establish the boundaries of the
Wards of the District for the purpose of electing Directors therefrom as follows:
