HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 06071994 - X.3 �X ?7Z ?53Y5 U1477SR 09 R550ZW?*70W 1W. 94/299 Declaring June 9, 1994, as "Non-Profit Day" in Contra Costa County ?4P;?K5R5W5, non-profit organizations are a key part of the system of public and private services to the citizens of our local communities, meeting a vast array of needs in health, human sery ices, and the arts; and ?UWSRS,gS, non-profit organizations are created by and led by volunteers in local communities who wish to accept responsibility and make a positive impact in their communities; and 7WW5RZXS, the well-being of all our local communities is greatly enhanced by the services provided through non-profit agencies; and 2 ,'W5R5XS, there are over 400 non-profit organizations in Contra Costa County; and W5WER54S, in carrying out its public service mandates, Contra Costa County depends in large measure upon local non-profit agencies to provide direct services to its citizens; and 7MER5,45, Contra Costa County has a long-standing partnership with local non-profit agencies in meeting the needs of the people of this county; and ZU'WERS-¢S, June 9, 1994, has been designated nationally as "Non-Profit Day." W&W, 95 077 RESdtr?/ED that the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors does hereby declare June 9, 1994, as "Non-Profit Day" in Contra Costa County in apprciation of the key role of non-porfit organizations in meeting the health and human service needs of our communities.
