SUBJECT: Resolution Initiating Proceedings for Formation and Annexation to Countywide Landscape
District (LL-2), Contra Costa County Area, and set a hearing date. Fiscal Year 1994-95.

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa resolves:
The Board of Supervisors declares its intention to form an Assessment District for the purpose
of levying and collecting assessments for new zones within the Countywide.Landscape (LL-2), Contra
Costa County, California, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1994 and ending June 30, 1995.
The improvements to be maintained by assessments in the year beginning July 1, 1994 and
ending June 30, 1995, are described as follows:
The improvements to be funded through the Countywide Landscaping District No. 1979-3
(LL-2), Contra Costa County, California, consist of the installation, maintenance and
servicing of landscaping, park and recreational related facilities with all appurtenances,
and services of consultants as needed.
Zones 41 & 16 (Oakley Area) Tract 7366 and 7367 - Landscaping irrigation and miscellaneous
facilities within the public right-of-way along 275 linear feet of the north side of Main Street(State
Route 4). The landscaping strip varies in width from three (3) to eight (8) feet.
Zones 42 & 9 (California Skyline) Tract 7597 - One mile t of frontage of frontage, both sides of
Driftwood Drive, plus medians.
Zones 43 & 16 (Luna Estates) Tract 7489 -Landscape and irrigation improvements on the north
side of Laurel Road fronting approximately 120 feet along Tract 7489.
Zones 45 & 16 (Alamo Villas) Tract 7559 -All landscape and irrigation improvements within the
public right-of-way fronting approximately 120 feet along Tract 7559.
Zones 46 & 16 (Claremont Heritage II) Tract 7775 - Landscaping and irrigation improvements
within the public right-of-way on State Highway 4(A.K.A. Main Street)fronting approximately 565
feet along Tract 7775.
Zones 47 & 16 (Las Brisas) Tracts 7385, 7808, 7830, 7831. 7832 & 7833 - Landscaping and
irrigation improvements fronting 1140 L.F. on Empire Avenue and 550 L.F. on Oakley Road.
Zone 48 Mrack(Road Assessment District)Tract 7621 - Landscape and irrigation improvements
within the public right-of-way fronting approximately 725 L.F. on Camino Tassajara Road along
Tract 7621.
Zones 49 & 16 (Meadow Glen II) Tract 7704 & 7707 - Landscaping and irrigation improvements
consisting of 1265 L.F. of frontage along Gum Tree Road and 452 L.F. frontage along Live Oak
Avenue.
Zone 50 (Somerset)Tract 7763- Landscape and irrigation improvements fronting 325 L.F. along
Tract 7763 on Camino Tassajara Road.

The Public Works Director, has filed with the Clerk of the Board, the Annual Report required by
the Landscaping and Lighting Act of 1972. This report contains a full and detailed description of the
improvements, the boundaries of the assessment district, and the proposed assessments upon
assessable lots and parcels of land within the assessment district. The report has been approved by
the Board of Supervisors and is open to public inspection.

Annual Assessments for Countywide Landscaping District
(LL-2) for Fiscal Year 1994-95.
In accordance with Board of Supervisors' policy dealing with annual assessments and Section 22556 and 22588 of the
Streets and Highways Code,we are giving you notice of this initial assessment. Your proposed property lies within Zone
3- of Countywide Landscaping District (LL-2). The Conditions of Approval for your subdivision require that certain
landscaping,irrigation,and/or other facilities be installed,and that a financial mechanism be established to provide perpetual
maintenance. Your developer requested annexation to the District as the means of providing this mechanism. ,
The estimated assessment proposed for your parcel for Fiscal Year 1994-95 Is shown in the upper right hand comer of this
notice. Annual assessments are subject to change based upon further subdivision or change in class of use of your existing
parcel or based upon any increase in service or operating costs. The proposed annual assessment for a typical single
family residence in the Zone is$4-for Fiscal Year 199495, and the maximum annual rate per parcel for future years shall
not exceed$5-without further notice of the required Pubic Hearings. The proposed assessments are based on a pro-rata
share of all parcels within the zone. Said funds are restricted for use solely within the zone for the purposes of which it was
assessed.
The Board of Supervisors will hold two pubic hearings on Tuesday,July 19, 1994 at 11:00 A.M.and Tuesday July 26, 1994
at 11:00 A.M. in the Board Chambers County Administration Building located at 651 Pine Street, Martinez, California to
consider the formation of Zone 6-the levy and collection of annual assessments for the Fiscal Year beginning July 1, 1994
and ending June 30, 1995. At the time, date and place specified for the pubic hearings, the Board will hear and consider
all comments or protests, if any,to the proposed formation and assessments, and may,thereafter, levy the assessments.
At any time prior to the conclusion of the July 26, 1994 pubic hearing,any property owner within the Zone may make written
protest against the proposed formation and assessments. The protests shall be in writing, shall state all grounds of
objection and shall contain a description sufficient to identify the property owned. Any such protests shall be mailed or
delivered to Contra Costa County Special Districts, 255 Glacier Drive, Martinez, California 94553. A majority protest by
owners of more than 50% of the area of assessable lands within the Zone would cause the formation and assessments to
be abandoned.
THIS IS NOT A BILL PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANY FORM OF PAYMENT DIRECTLY TO US. The assessment will be
added to your annual DroDerty tax gill.
