SPECIFIC REQUEST(S)OR RECOMMENDATION(S)&BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION
I. Recommended Action:
A. APPROVE Right of Way Contract and ACCEPT Grant Deed dated June 14, 1994, from
Marie Woods.
B. AUTHORIZE Public Works Director to execute said Right of Way Contract on behalf of the
County.
C. APPROVE payment of$2,110 for said property rights and AUTHORIZE the Auditor-Controller
to issue a check in said amount payable to Marie Woods, 4901 Chablis Court, Oakley, CA.,
to be forwarded to the Real Property Division for delivery.
D. DIRECT the Real Property Division to have the above referenced Grant Deed recorded in the
office of the County Recorder.
II. Financiallmpact:
Payment of $2,110 from Oakley Area of Benefit funds.
III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
These property rights are required for the State Highway 4 road widening project in accordance with
the approved plans and specifications.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
The project will not have sufficient land rights to allow construction in accordance with the approved
plans and specifications.

Real property in an unincorporated area of Contra Costa County, California, being a portion of Lot
5 as shown on the map of "Subdivision No. 4617 The Vineyard" filed August 31, 1977 in Book 202-
of Maps at page 9, records of Contra Costa County, California, described as follows:
Commencing at the northwesterly corner of said Lot 5 (202 M 9); thence along the westerly
boundary of Lot 5, south 0055'29" west 57.71 feet to the Point of Beginning, said point shale
hereinafter be referred to as Point "I"; thence from the Point of Beginning, along the boundary of
Lot 5, south 0055'29" west 9.72 feet; thence continuing along the boundary of Lot 5, southerly,
southeasterly and easterly, along the arc of a curve, concave to the northeast, having a radius of
10.00 feet, through a central angle of 91035'3011, a distance of 15.99 feet; thence, continuing along
the boundary of said Lot 5, easterly along the arc of a compound curve, concave to the north,
