Dear Supervisors: rvw,. r-e rrs "hdus+ I recently called BFI about hazardous waste disposal, as I have four cans of paint and stain to dispose. They indicated that you have cancelled the program for disposal of the oil based paints. This disturbs me greatly as I have been educated to be concerned about polluting our fragile environment. Now I have no legitimate way to dispose of some common household products. It seems deplorable in today's technology and environmentally sensitive age to continue to just add toxics to our dumps. It's hard to envision that economics of cleanups in the future will be less costly than proper disposal now. You have disappointed me in your decision. It is a step backwards in social consciousness. If I am missing the boat on something about my concern, please let me know. .Also please advise me on how I should responsibly dispose of these products. Sincerely, Lois Nobles cc: BFI
