COu / Executive Director �a T, c r Jy county DATE : June 21, 1994 SUBJECT: Senior Citizen Housing - North Richmond SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMNIENDATIONS (S) & BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION RECOMMENDATIONS AUTHORIZE the Deputy Director - Redevelopment to submit a request for a General Plan Amendment fo-r"A unified development site in the North Richmond Redevelopment Project Area (Exhibit A) . FISCAL IMPACT None. BACKGROUND/REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATIONS On June 14, 1994 the Redevelopment Agency took action to designate the block bounded by 2nd, 3rd, Chesley and Grove . (Exhibit A) in the North Richmond area as a site for unified development for senior citizen housing and possible commercial and public uses . To ultimately initiate any development of the type contemplated, a General Plan Amendment will be necessary. This recommendation will authorize the Redevelopment Agency to request initiation of a General Plan Amendment study for the subject site .
