Project No. 0662-6134137-93, CDD-CP # 93-5. Specific Request(s) or Recommendations) & Background & Justification I. RECOMMENDED ACTION: 7: APPROVE the Plans and Specifications for the Project and ADVERTISE for bids to be received on Tuesday, July 19, at 2:00 p.m. DIRECT the Clerk of the Board to publish the Notice to Contractors in accordance with Section 20392 of the Public Contract. II. FINANCIAL IMPACT: The estimated contract cost of the project is $51,000, funded by Transportation Development Act (TDA) funds (100%). III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND: The project is needed to,connect a proposed bike/pedestrian trail from a major subdivision (to the north-west) to the Delta DeAnza Trail. The Public Works Director has filed with the Board of Supervisors the Plans and Specifications for the project. The Board reviewed and approved the project on May 4, 1993 and determined the project to be exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act as a Class 4h Categorical Exemption. A Notice of Exemption was filed with the County Clerk on May 10, 1993. IV. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If the project is not approved for advertising, it will not be constructed.
