RESOLUTION NO. 94/ 253

SUBJECT: Sale of Surplus Real Property
Richmond Parkway Project
North Richmond Area
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
Contra Costa County acquired certain real property in the North Richmond area,
described in 'Exhibit "A" attached hereto, for drainage purposes. Said property is
DETERMINED to be surplus and no longer necessary for County purposes and its
estimated value does not exceed $10,000.00.
This Board hereby APPROVES and AUTHORIZES the conveyance of said
property to the City of Richmond, pursuant to Government Code Section 25526.5 and the
Board Chair is hereby AUTHORIZED to execute a Grant Deed on behalf of the County
to the City of Richmond. The Public Works Director is hereby AUTHORIZED to sign a
Right of Way Contract with the City of Richmond for this transaction.
The Real Property Division is DIRECTED to cause said Grant Deed and Right of
Way Contract to be delivered to the grantee.
The City Council of the City of Richmond, as lead agency for the Richmond
Parkway project (in both the City of Richmond and County unincorporated area)
approved the project Environmental Impact Report on March 8, 1991, and filed a Notice
of Determination with the County Clerk on March 20, 1991. The City of Richmond also
found the project to conform to its General Plan.

All that certain real property situate in the City of Richmond, County of Contra Costa, State of
'California described as follows:
A portion of that certain parcel of land described in the deed from Chevron Chemical Company to
Contra Costa County recorded December 10, 1973 in Book 7109 of Official Records at page 268, Contra
Costa County Records, described as follows:
PARCEL 1
BEGINNING at the northeast corner of said parcel conveyed to Contra Costa County; thence from
said POINT OF BEGINNING along the east, line of said parcel conveyed to Contra Costa County
S01005'48"W 36.23 feet; thence leaving said east line from a tangent bearing of N18°29'39"W along a
curve to the left with a radius of 38.00 feet through a central angle of 54°46'27" for an arc length of
36.33 feet; thence N73016'06"W 45.91 feet to the north line of said parcel conveyed to Contra Costa
County; thence along said north line S88054'12"E 69.77 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING.
Containing 794 square feet, more or less.
This conveyance is made for the purpose of a controlled access highway and the grantor hereby
releases and relinquishes to the grantee any and all abutter's rights including access rights,
appurtenant to grantor's remaining property, in and to said controlled access highway over and
across the southerly 33.00 feet of the east line of said parcel so described in said deed to Contra
Costa County.

A TEMPORARY EASEMENT to terminate December 31, 1995 for construction purposes and incidents
thereto upon, over and across that certain real property described as follows:
BEGINNING at the northeast corner of said parcel conveyed to Contra Costa County; thence from
said POINT OF BEGINNING along the east line of said parcel conveyed to Contra Costa County
S01005'48"W 36.23 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING for this description; thence from said
TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING, leaving said east line, from a tangent bearing of N18029'39"W along
a curve to the left with a radius of 38.00 feet through a central angle of 54°46'27" for an arc length
of 36.33 feet; thence N73016'06"W 45.91 feet to the north line of said parcel conveyed to Contra
Costa County; thence leaving said north line S1005'48"W 4.15 feet to a line parallel with and 4.00
feet southwesterly, measured at right angles, from above said course with a length of 45.91 feet;
