DIRECT the Director of Community Development to file a Notice of Exemption with the County Clerk. DIRECT the Public Works Director to arrange for payment of the $25.00 handling fee to the County Clerk for filing of the Notice of Exemption. II. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND: The project includes the installation of concrete median barriers and associated safety features along Kirker Pass Road. The project has been determined to be in compliance with the General Plan and is exempt from CEQA because it consists of minor alterations of existing public facilities involving no expansion of use per Section 15301 of the CEQA Guidelines. IV. CONSEQUENCES OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Delay in approving the project will result in a delay of design and construction and may jeopardize funding. No right-of-way is required as the concrete median barrier will be installed within the existing eight foot paved and striped median.
