Contra Costa County 651 Pine Street 3rd Floor North Wing, Martinez, California 94553-0095 Dear Members, Board of Supervisors: At the June 1st Board of Education Meeting, a public hearing will be held and resolutions will voted on regarding an increase of the School Facilities Developer Fees in accordance with Government Code Section 53080. The State Allocation Board has approved an increase of$.07($1.65 to $1.72)for residential, and an increase of$0.01 ($0.27 to $0.28)for commercial or industrial construction.The increase in the fee will be effective June 2, 1994,for all building permits issued on or after June 2,1994. The meeting will be held at 7:30 pm at the Staff Development Center, at 2625 Barnard Road, Richmond. If School Facilities Developer Fees are paid prior June 2, 1994, but the permit was not issued by your department until after June 2, the applicant will be responsible for the additional School Facilities Developer Fees. A Developer Fee Justification Study has been prepared in accordance with the law, and is available to the public. Further information on the costs of school services and facilities and other available revenue, including the general fund, will be available at the District offices as of May 20, 1994. A copy of the study will be sent to you when it is accepted by the Board of Education. If you would like a copy prior to the public hearing, please contact Cate Burkhart, at 234-3825, extension 2019.
