SUBJECT: BUCHANAN FIELD AIRPORT TIEDOWN FEE INCREASE
SPECIFIC RWL;"T(S)OR RECO?NMLNOATION(S)&BACKGROUND ANDJUSTIFICATION '
1. Recommended Action:
ADOPT Resolution amending and superseding Resolution No. 921137 in the matter of proposed
rates, charges and regulations related thereto for space rental and activities At Buchanan Field
Airport, effective July 1, 1994.
II. Financial Impact:
This is expected to increase the Airport revenues by $8,000 per year.
Ill. tteeasorls for Recommendations and Backlaround:
Tiedown fees should be adjusted on an annual basis. No increase was recommended in 1993. It
is recommended that the increase be 4.4% which reflects the CPI change since the last rate
increase in 1992.
This fee increase will only apply to Buchanan Field Airport; increased fees will not apply to the
Contra Costa County-Byron Airport, The Contra Costa County-Byron Airport is a substandard
facility and adjustments are not appropriate until the new airport is ready for use in late 1994.
On April 19, 1994, this subject was brought before the Aviation Advisory Committee. The Aviation
Advisory Committee heard from the public at this time. The Aviation Advisory Committee voted to
approve these recommended tiedown increases.
