RECOMMENDATIONS APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Chair of the Board of Supervisors to execute on behalf of Contra Costa County' a contract amendment with the State - of California Employment Development Department (EDD) for the purpose of providing access to up to 100 County-owned transmission paths for the period August 1, 1994 through December 31, 1994 . II . BACKGROUND EDD requires access to County transmission paths to implement a centralized call-in center for its clients . III . FINANCIAL IMPACT The EDD will pay Contra Costa County $48. 00 per transmission line. The total amount of the contract shall not exceed $79,200 . There is no net cost to the County. MARILYN GALE CONTRACT ANALYST Enclosure Employment Development Department/P.O.Box 826880/Sacramento CA 94280-0001 State of California Requirements for a RESOLUTION OF LOCAL GOVEfW= E r= In instances where payment will be made by the State before complete performance under the contract and where one of the contracting parties is a county, city, district, or other local public body, the contract shall be acccapanied by a copy of the resolution, order, motion, or ordinance of the local governing body by law having authority to enter into the proposed contract", approving and authorizing execution of the agreement. The following definitions apply to original agreements and amendments: "Resolution" is a formal expressing of the opinion or will of an official body or public assembly, adopted by vote. A valid resolution was passed sets forth the roll call on the resolution, is signed and approved by the Chairman, and is attested to by the clerk of the governing body. "Motions" or "Minutes of the meeting" used to satisfy the resolution requirement must show that the motion was passed or accepted and should have the clerks certification that they are true excerpts. "Ordinance" is a term used to designate the enactments of the legislative body of a municipal corporation, which are of a general and permanent nature. If excerpts from code books are used, a letter of source documentation should also be submitted. "Order" is a mandate, ccmmand, for determination of an administrative body or agency.
