Reasons for Recommendations and Background: This project includes repairing bank slipouts and eroded areas in Las Trampas, San Ramon, San Pablo, Pinole, and Garrity Flood Control Channels. It is needed to prevent further erosion and sedimentation and restore the flood carrying capacity of these channels. The repairs are to be accomplished using district forces and several informal contracts. The project has been determined to be in compliance with the General Plan and is exempt from CEQA because it consists of minor alteration of existing public facilities involving no expansion of use per Section 15301 of the CEQA guidelines. IV. Consequences of Negative Action: Delay in approving the project will result in a delay of design and construction and may jeopardize funding. cc: County Admin: E.
