RECOMMENDED ACTION: APPROVE Project, and DETERMINE that the project is a California Environmental Quality Act Class 4h Categorical Exemption, and DIRECT the Director of Community Development to file a Notice of Exemption with the County Clerk. DIRECT the Public Works Director to arrange for payment of the $25.00 handling fee to the County Clerk for filing of the Notice of Exemption. II. FINANCIAL IMPACT: The estimated project cost is $500,000, funded by Landscape/Lighting Assessments, Zone 38 (90%) and Park Dedication Trust Fund fees (10%). III. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND: The proposed Rodeo Creek Trail will provide the unincorporated community of Rodeo with a pedestrian/bicycle trail that will be approximately 1.5 miles long and provide a link between the older section of town and the newer housing and shopping areas. The community has used the existing flood control access road along Rodeo Creek as an informal trail for many years.
