RECOMMENDATION:
Acknowledge receipt of a memorandum from the Employee Relations Manager to
transfer the classification of Victim Witness Specialist from the General Services
Unit to the Probation Services Unit of Contra Costa County Employees Association,
Local No. 1
FISCAL IMPACT:
None.
REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND:
Contra Costa County Employees Association, Local No. 1 requests the transfer of
the above classification primarily due to the fact that the Victim Witness Specialist
works directly with or in conjunction with the classifications in the Probation
Services Unit and share commonality of interest with those classifications.

SUBJECT: Transfer of Classes Between Units Represented by Local No. 1
Contra Costa County Employees Association, Local No. 1 has petitioned to transfer the
classification of Victim Witness Specialist from the General Services Unit to the Probation
Services Unit (see attachment). Both bargaining units are represented by Local No. 1.
In accordance with Section 34-12.016 (Modification of Representation Units) of Board
Resolution 81/1165, the transfer of these classifications is found to be appropriate. This
transfer is to be effective May 1, 1994.
Acknowledgement of this report by the Board is recommended.
