RECOMMENDED ACTION APPROVE & AUTHORIZE Director, Office on Aging to EXECUTE and submit the Title V Grant Application (County #29-009-32) (State #TV-9495-03) to the California Department of Aging requesting $125, 334 in federal funds to provide part-time employment for twenty-two (22) low income individuals age 55+ for the County's FY 1994-95 Title V Senior Community Services Employment Program. Upon receipt of the California Department of Aging's FY 94-95 Title V Standard Agreement, AUTHORIZE the Director, Office on Aging or his designee, upon approval by County Counsel or the Social Service Contracts Administrator, to EXECUTE the Standard Agreement. AUTHORIZE the Director, Office on Aging to EXECUTE and submit future Standard Agreement amendments that only reflect an adjustment of line items or increased revenues when the amendments do not result in a decrease in grant revenue or additional County cost beyond funds already available in the approved budget for the Social Service Department. II. FINANCIAL IMPACT There will be no financial impact on the County. Required match of $13 , 928 will be provided through cash wage supplements and fringe benefits paid by public and private, non-profit agencies which contract with County and who pay low-income elderly enrollees. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION/BACKGROUND Since 1977, the County, through its Office on Aging, has operated a Senior Community Services Employment Program under Title V of the Older Americans Act. As a result of the change in the State funding formula for the Title V program, funds received for program year 1994-95 will be $22 less than funds received for the previous year.
