MICHAEL WALFORD, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR DATE: APRIL 12, 1994 SUBJECT: CAMINO TASSAJARA BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT - SAN RAMON AREA Project No.: 0662-6114072 Task: ACQ Account: 3540 SPECIFIC REQUEST(S) OR RECOMMENDATION(S) &BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION I. Recommended Action: A. APPROVE Right of Way Contract and ACCEPT Grant Deed dated March 9, 1994, from Kristine M. Clausen. B. AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director to execute Right of Way Contract on behalf of the County. C. APPROVE payment for said property rights and AUTHORIZE the Auditor-Controller to issue a check for $1,700 payable to Kristine M. Clausen, P.O. Box 400, Cantua Creek, CA., 93608, to be forwarded to the Real Property Division for delivery. D. DIRECT the Real Property Division to have the above-referenced Grant Deed recorded in the Office of the County Recorder. II. Financial Impact: Payment totalling$1,700 which is 80%reimbursable from federal HBRR funds; remainder comes from South County Area of Benefit Funds. III. Reasons for Recommendations and Background: This project was developed to replace an old and narrow bridge structure with inadequate sight distances over Tassajara Creek on Camino Tassajara. The new single-span two-lane reinforced concrete bridge will be relocated forty to sixty feet to the east of the existing bridge. Camino Tassajara will be realigned to conform to the new alignment. These property rights are required to meet project specifications. IV.
