BACKGROUND On November 15, 1994, a cash shortage in the amount of $100 was discovered in the Municipal Courts ' Collections and Compliance Unit. On March 2 , 1994 , a cash shortage in the amount of $50 was discovered at the Bay Municipal Court. On March 2 , 1994, a cash shortage of $40 was discovered at the Delta Municipal Court. Efforts were made to discover, ascertain, and recover the shortages by examining all work thoroughly and comparing transactions with checks and receipts issued wherever possible. After review of a cash shortage report, the Auditor-Controller recommends relief of the shortages .
