SUBJECT: Approval of Contract Change Orders Nos. 12, Supplement 1, and 20 for Assessment
District 1992-1 project, Project No. 4500-6X5181-92, Danville area
Specific Request(s)or Recommendations)&Background&Justification
I. Recommended Action:
APPROVE Contract Change Orders Nos. 12, Supplement 1, and 20 in the approximate amounts
of $1,200.00, and $900.00, respectively, and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director to execute
them in order to compensate the contractor, Oliver de Silva, Inc., for work resulting from utility
delays.
11. Financial Impact:
The project contingency funds are sufficient to cover the change order costs. The source of
funds is Assessment District 1992-1.
111. Reasons for Recommendations and Background:
The cumulative total of Contract Change Orders Nos. 1 through 20 exceeds$25,000.00, requiring
Board approval. Underground utility conflicts delayed this project into the winter months. The
contractor performed various items of extra work to secure this project through the winter.
IV. Consequences of Negative Action:
The lack of approval would preclude payment for work that was performed in good faith.
