Chairman Tom Powers Members of the Board of Supervisors County Administration Building Martinez, California 94553-1229 RE: Booking Fees Use Dear Chairman Powers and Supervisors: The Contra Costa County Police Chiefs Association requests that all funds raised by the assessment of booking fees be deposited in the Public Safety Services Fund and be used to provide such services. Since the fees are based upon bookings from all agencies in the county, it is preferred that these funds be designated for operations that serve all agencies. The need for such services is essential, and it is becoming increasingly difficult for all agencies to pay the costs involved. Therefore, it would make the collection of booking fees a little more palatable if they were used to provide directly related services. We appreciate your consideration of this request. yours, M..
